This has meant requiring water to be carried home by wagons and, the women, on their heads! Finally, with the help of Amigos for Christ, Somos Ohana Nicaragua is providing the funds and local contracted workers are building a good, long-lasting metal water tank to be placed on the sturdy existing tower. Pipes will again deliver water into homes, something that is still a luxury in much of rural Nicaragua.
